Berry Hill Elementary students were taken under the wing of a professional artist and created a life-sized Berry Hill sign.
Part of the "Artist in Residence" program at the school, artist Tony Valderrama led students through the project last week. The "Human Sculpture Project" joined students together in Jackie DeBari's class to create the sign, which will be installed at the front of the school.
Valderrama, who works with nature and human figure in media, also led students through creating puppets as self-portraits.
The program is sponsored by the Berry Hill PTA Cultural Arts Committee.
