Willits student council collects 23 cartons of food for soldiers in Afghanistan.
Students at collected 23 cartons of non-perishable food items for soldiers serving in Afghanistan. The student council coordinated the school-wide Thinking, Learning and Caring food drive as a way to thank those who serve.
“We wanted to collect food so that the soldiers will know that we remember them, and thank them for serving our country," said a fifth-grader.
