Syosset Grads Return for Alumni Day

Over 50 SHS grads share college experience with Syosset seniors.

 

Over fifty college students returned to walk the halls of for Alumni Day on Jan. 5. Every year, former students return to the high school and share their post-Syosset lives with current high school seniors.

College students sat on a panel and advised students on the essentials of college life, including budgeting, time management, getting along with roommates, living away from home, and what to expect in the classroom. Top colleges and universities from around the country were represented, including Columbia, Cornell, College of William and Mary, Duke, Princeton, Yale and SUNY Geneseo.

The high school guidance department and PTSA hosted a breakfast during two class periods where high schoolers were able to speak with alums. The much anticipated event is held every year for Syosset High School seniors.
